Welcome to Pet Travel Gear Hub. By accessing or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

About This Site

Pet Travel Gear Hub publishes reviews, comparisons and how-to guides on the gear that makes traveling with a dog or cat easier: back seat hammocks, car harnesses, soft carriers, collapsible bowls and travel litter boxes. Everything here is written for ordinary pet owners who would rather bring their animals along than leave them behind.

Pet Travel Safety

The information on this site is general and is not veterinary advice. Talk to your veterinarian before a long trip, especially about motion sickness, anxiety, medication, or an older or unwell pet.

Never leave a pet alone in a parked vehicle. The inside of a car can reach dangerous temperatures within minutes, even with the windows cracked and even on a mild day.

Keep pets out of the front seat, where an airbag can seriously injure them, and keep them restrained in the back so they cannot reach the driver or become a projectile in a sudden stop. A harness, tether or carrier reduces risk but does not eliminate it, and crash testing is not one single governed standard, so read each manufacturer's claims and fit instructions carefully. Always attach a tether to a harness, never to a collar.

Check any carrier against your airline's current size and pet rules before you book, because they vary by airline and change over time. Stop for water and bathroom breaks on long drives, keep pets on a leash at rest stops, and keep identification and a current microchip record on your pet whenever you travel.
